VideoVista Professional Help - Security Option
Videos content protection on Internet is a quite hard issue. Latest share video web site aren't good for all users; VideoVista can protect your video content in this way:
You can secure your video with Professional Edition, using cryptography encoding; protetion key is written in the security file that can be created once with the security manager. Security file must be included as parameter in the Applet code; visit the Security file page.
From your website you can delivery normal and protected video; if a video is protected the Applet player verify if the domain is available in the security file; if not it doesn't play. Other user cannot change the security file as it must be create against the protection phrase that you have recorded in VideoVista software.
Security Phrase
Security phrase is the key for secure videos and security file; it must be almost eight (8) characters.
As regular it may be written and recorder once and never changed; obviously a backup must be done for security reason.
Security File Manager
It's the security file manager. You must be save settings using a XML file.

Enable security file expire date: enable timeline end date for the security file. (after that date security file wont be more valid)

Generate Security File: generate a security file with current settings; the security file is a normal text file that cannot be changed; it must be loaded on the website and must be called using an Applet parameter
Generate Auth File Only: generate an auth file if you have dediced to write it in another file (find out more)
Admitted Delivering Host
It contains the list of all web domains that can host and delivery a secured video; each domain can have a timeline expire date in the format (dd/mm/aaaa); after that date, the domain wont be able to delivery the secured video.

It contains the list of all web domains that can link a secured video; each domain can have a timeline expire date in the format (dd/mm/aaaa); after that date, the domain wont be able to link the secured video.
